It Costs What?

Body oil pricing doesn’t always make sense at first glance. Some feel expensive. Some feel like a deal. Most look nearly identical. So what are you actually paying for? Here’s a simple comparison using real brands:

Brand A:

  • $8.75/oz

  • Sunflower oil first

  • Includes fragrance

Brand B

  • $11.05/oz

  • Sunflower oil first

  • Includes fragrance

Brand C

  • $16.06/oz

  • Sweet almond oil first

  • Caprylic/capric triglyceride second

  • Includes fragrance

  • Meadowfoam, jojoba, argan, sweet almond

  • No added parfum

All of the above brands are lovely choices. And they’re widely used for a reason. They feel good. They smell good. They spread easily. But they’re often heavy in basic carrier oils and thin on the good stuff advertised on the label.

When it comes to price, I think what matters is what makes up that ounce. So yes, $12.25 an ounce. But it’s going to last you sooooooo long.
